While Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, and Miley Cyrus were the big winners at the ceremony, Zakir Hussain and Shankar Mahadevan were two notable stars who brought pride to India at the international event. The powerhouses of talent grabbed their first Grammy flaunting the finest Indian traditional avatar!

The tabla ustaad and flautist Rakesh Chaurasia took up the Best Global Music Performance prize for their Pashto performance. Zakir Hussain opted for an ethnic fusion ensemble that exuded style and sophistication as he accepted the prize that helped to popularize Indian music worldwide. Mr Hussain donned a pristine white Mandarin collared kurta and straight-fit pants.
The musical virtuoso donned a white blazer over it with buttons highlighting the sleeves and silver sequin details with flower embroidery. He wore his hair in its statement curls and brogues with his ensemble.

Shankar Mahadevan's Black Sherwani
Shankar Mahadevan was one of the Indian Grammy winners at the prestigious music event. The Breathless singer is a vocalist with Zakir's band Shakti, who won Best Global Music Album for This Moment. On the Grammy Awards 2024 red carpet, Shankar wore traditional ethnic attire.
The musician looked dapper in a long-sleeved black sherwani with silver buttons across the front and a Mandarin collar. The popular music composer teamed the plain black sherwani kurta with ivory-toned pyjamas.
It included gold-embroidered black juttis on his feet and ivory-toned pyjamas. He made sure his black-framed glasses complemented the ensemble!
