Cannes Film Festival 2023: Sara Ali Khan Looks Like Modern-Day Bride In Desi Lehenga On Day 1
This year, the 76th annual Cannes Film Festival has already begun and it will continue from 16 May till 27 May 2023. The prestigious film event will take place in the resort city of Cannes, on the French Riviera. This year also several Bollywood celebrities will attend the event and some will make their debut as well. There will be several Indian films that will be screened as well.
From big jewels to extravagant gowns, this popular film fest is a treat for the eyes. On Day 1, Actress Sara Ali Khan stood out in her debut red carpet appearance at Cannes and she looked like a modern-day bride in her desi lehenga from Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla collection.

The ivory handwoven lehenga with beautiful embroidery looked stunning and she paired it up with minimal and muted makeup to let her dress shine. Her dupatta which was equally gorgeous was pinned from her bun. She finished her look with statement drop earrings.
The actress attended the premiere of the opening film - Jeanne Du Barry which starred Johnny Depp and the event will close with Pixar's animated movie Elemental on 27 May 2023.
Apart from Sara Ali Khan, film curator and critic Meenakshi Shedde, who is on the International Critics' Week jury, wore a traditional black saree with a hint of pink and orange on the opening day and proudly flaunted the Indian culture.
