Bhaag Beanie Bhaag: Swara Bhasker AKA Beanie Gives Us A Fashion Lesson With The Show
Swara Bhasker's Bhaag Beanie Bhaag opened to mixed reviews but whether you like the show or not, you have got to admit Swara Bhasker is a delight to watch. The show is about an aspiring stand-up comedian, Beanie Bhatnagar, who wants to own the stand-up comedy space. However, she is stuck up in a regular job and with a guy, who proposes to her and is over-enthusiastic about the wedding, which Beanie finds definitely draining. Without giving spoilers and revealing more, we are going to talk about one of the wedding functions of Beanie Bhatnagar, where she wore this really funny white outfit and loud makeup.
Obviously, Beanie's fashion sensibility is great but for this grand Roka function by her rich in-laws, Beanie is encouraged to wear a white ensemble, which she is so uncomfortable in. The moment actually reminded us of Kareena Kapoor Khan's 'fairytale gown' in Veere Di Wedding (Swara Bhasker has also acted in Veere Di Wedding). The commonality is that both the aforementioned outfits are absolutely gaudy and something both the ladies didn't want to wear. However, they both wore it, in order to please their in-laws. Speaking about Swara Bhasker's extravagant outfit in the scene, it is a total fashion disaster in the particular setting, for everyone's looking understated but her. Her outfit is a textured cropped top paired with draped bottoms, an overwhelming feathery jacket with complementing fascinator that really fascinates us. The gold and diamond jewellery is equally flashy, and the wine-red lip shade and glittery eye shadow ruined it. Her friend in the show had the classic expression.
We feel for Swara Bhasker aka Beanie in the scene and all those people, who at any point had to wear something they didn't want to wear and end up looking ridiculous. However, her mother rightly points out, "What is your mother-in-law's problem? She has made you a pigeon but is herself looking classy-classy." And then Beanie replies that it is her fault and she should have refused it before. Well, people here's the fashion lesson of the day, refuse to wear anything that you are not comfortable in before it is too late. But this scene added to episode 1 of the show and such are the funny scenes in the show, which enhanced the viewing experience.
