Reading: Mr. Amitabh Bachchan At The Launch Of Smita Patil's Book, A Brief Incandescence
It was the star-studded night. It was the launch of Maithilli Rao's book, A Brief Incandescence, on the life of Smita Patil. Smita Patil was one of the most renowned actresses in Bollywood. During her time in Bollywood, she won two National Film Awards and a Filmfare award. Sadly, Smita didn't have a long life to garner more awards like these, but she'll live in the words of Maithilli Rao.
The event was graced by veteran actor, Smita's former co-star Amitabh Bachchan and her son Prateik Babbar. Shabana Azmi, Jaya Bachchan and Nandita Das also made the atmosphere lively by their presence.
The evening was lightened up when Big B. read a few words from the book at the podium, we couldn't help but notice that Big B chose the perfect velvet

Jaya Bachchan looked quite serious while maintaining her politician persona. She wore a simple white saree, matched with a blue blouse. She must have bid adieu to Bollywood, but not to its glamour quotient. Look at her neat choice of the bag here.

Shabana Azmi was also a highlight of the event. She picked a Banarasi saree and kept her to a minimum.

The gorgeous Nandita Das also wore a saree. And what we can say, she looked beautiful as always.

Sonali Kulkarni picked the perfect colors for her ethnic wear.
