Happy Birthday, Hema Malini! Here Are 5 Of Her Iconic looks!
Hema Malini is the fourth south Indian actress after Vyjayanthimala, Padmini, Waheedha Rehmaan to become a major Hindi film star. She came from a small town in Tamil Nadu and now she's one of India's most popular and beautiful women.
Malini made her acting debut in Sapno Ka Saudagar (1968), and went on to feature in numerous Bollywood films, primarily as the lead actress. She is an actress, director, producer, dancer and politician. She is also an active supporter of various causes and charities. Hema Malini has a loving family and is a mother of two lovely ladies; Bollywood actress Esha Deol and Ahana Deol who is an assistant director.

Hema Malini turned 67 yesterday and we wish her the best birthday yet. Now would be a great time, we think, to take a journey back in time and revisit some of her most iconic looks in Bollywood.
Seeta Aur Geeta:

This movie was released in the year 1972 and showcased Hema Malini in a dual role. She played twin that were separated at birth. Seeta is raised on the streets and Geeta by their uncle and aunt. The film is a classic because Hema Malini managed to pull off both the tough and boistrous Geeta and the demure and meek Seeta.
Sholay:

This blockbuster hit screens in 1975 and still has hardcore fans worshipping it. Sholay is not a film, it's a religion. Basanti (Hema Malini) is a loud and sexy village belle and we cannot get enough of her. 'Basanti' is probably one of Hema Malini's best looks ever. Don't you just love her talkativeness and child-like innocence?
Dream Girl:

This is a 1977 film that has Hema Malini's character playing the roles of Sapna, Padma, Champabai, Dream girl, and Rajkumari. Phew! Five women! And we thought Seeta Aur Geeta must've been tough! This plot takes us through the life of a modern day Robin Hood who takes on different identities to steal money and run an orphanage.
Satte Pe Satta:

This 1982 movie shows Hema Malini in the character of a nurse names Indu. We love her look in the movie because of her retro vibe and her depiction of Indu's gentle nature. The film talks about how Indu gets tricked into a marriage, how chaotic her life gets when she discovers a terrible family secret and what happens when a hitman is ordered to kill her.
Baghban:

This is a 2003 film directed by Ravi Chopra about how an aged man and his wife are disowned by their sons and daughters-in-law. Hema Malini and Amitabh Bachchan are the Malhotra couple and it is Hema Malini's brilliant acting that brings laughter and tears to each and everyone who watches the film. We love Pooja Malhotra's (Hema Malini) look in the film, she is the epitome of grace and motherhood.
We, at Boldsky, wish Hema Malini the very best! Dear reader, we hope you enjoyed this journey back in time. Cheers!
