Sania Mirza is known to be one of India's and the world's most popular tennis players. We are proud to say that she is currently ranked world No. 1 in women's doubles. She is the highest ranked female player from India's history and peaked at world No. 27 in singles in mid-2007. Unfortunately however, a major wrist injury forced her to give up her singles career and focus on the doubles circuit. She began playing tennis at the tender age of six and went professional in 2003.

When she began dating Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik and made plans to wed him, she was declared the most searched woman tennis player and Indian sportsperson in 2010, according to Google Trends.

Sania Mirza recently was seen on the cover of Juice magazine (the October issue) and boy, are we thirsty or what?
