Bollywood Style Notebook: Deepika's Best Looks From Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram Leela. Navratri Special
Who can ever forget that moment when Leela Sanera (Deepika Padukone) entered the screen in that pale yellow lehenga? Her hair flying, her hands gripping her heavy skirt and her feet languidly making their way toward Ram Rajadi (Ranveer Singh). Who can ever forget when she pulled her gun out and aimed at Ram, her gazed stayed on his gredy eyes? And who can erase the memory of her flirtatious and seductive smirk has she swirled around and left him standing there speechless?
Well, today, on Bollywood Style Notebook, we're decoding Deepika Padukone's look from the movie Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela. We're doing this for two reasons; firstly, Navratri is starting tomorrow and secondly, it's Deepika Padukone. Everyone knows that her character Leela Sanera has some of the most breath taking looks and we'll show you how to get three of them this Navratri. Get, set, garba!
1. Red, white, and black lehenga:

This lehenga is seen in the fun and flirty number Lahu Munh Lag Gaya. Here, we see Deepika donning a lovely layered red, black and white ensemble that relfects the true spirit of Indian fesitvals. The tie dyed fabric is flowy and full thanks to the uneven layers of the skirt. The blouse is backless and the dupatta is casually thrown over the shoulder. We love the young vibe going on here.
This Navratri choose a simple red, black and white cotton or cotton-silk lehenga. Keep your hair tidy and off your face in a bun and the make-up very light abd fresh. For jewellery, get your arms covered in lots of bangles, heavy anklets for your dancing feet and choose antique gold chandbaali earrings, the larger the better!
2. White and gold lehenga:

This classy piece is worn during the song Ang Laga De. This song basically is about the night Ram and Leela almost spend at an inn. We see Deepika looking like a goddess here because of her brilliantly tailored lehenga. The blouse is a creamy ivory having 3/4th sleeves and a few strings over her back. The skirt is plain and is worn super low waist. We love the skirt and the entire look because of its simplicity and sexiness.
If you want to try this look go for a well fitted white blouse, backless, if you're brave enough to handle the attention. A poufy white and gold skirt will compliment it well and make sure you chuck the dupatta because, well, this is a Deepika Padukone look. Pair the dress with ethnic earrings or jhumkas, loose wavy hair and nude make-up. Time to rock garba or celebrate at home in this easy yet gorgeous look.
3. Red and gold lehenga:

This is the epitome of being a true garba goddess. Deepika pulled out all the stops for the song Nagada Sang Dhol and we can't get enough! The lehenga she wore weighed about 30 kilos and had a 50 meter ghera but the dancing queen made it look effortless and sexy. The red and gold lehenga is probably the most popular lookof the movie. Here we see Leela Sanera dancing in the garba style for Navratri and I'm sure every girl has been trying to out do her in every way but failed.
The skirt has gold zardosi work on red georgette fabric, gold appliques, gold sequin and green velvet. The blouse is made from red brocade and gold sequin fabric, beige georgette sleeves with gold motifs and a red border. Deepika carried off the look with class and you can too, as long as you follow these quick tips. Get the most decadent red and gold lehenga you can, bling it up with tradtional jewellery for every part of your body. Heavy accessories are your best friend. Go for loose hair with braids in them and part it in the middle. Make-up can be anything you like but we suggest neutral make-up to keep up with the Leela Sanera vibe.
Get out there and party hard this Navratri with these three winning looks! Stay tuned for more Bollywood inspired looks here on Boldsky.
