After cold days of fashion, here comes the hot five-day fashion extravaganza. The Amazon India Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2017 kicked off with sizzling hot runway displays in the capital today. The opening show had around 17 designers, showing their love for the well known Indian fabric Chanderi. In fact, the show is called Road To Chanderi.
Top-notch designers from the industry are lined up to showcase their excellence in chanderi craft. Actress Aditi Rao Hydari got the honour to walk for the label Raw Mango on the opening day. The former muse of Anita Dongre looked ravishing in a monotoned black lehenga.
Since the show was about accentuating the craftsmanship of chanderi, Aditi wore a beautiful sweeping length chanderi lehenga skirt. The vertical outlines of the black skirt added volume to the flow of fabric. The skirt was matched with solid black blouse. Sweetheart neckline and quarter sleeves of the blouse were subverted with the see-through dupatta.
The look is amplified with the wrap-around styling of dupatta.
It looks like Aditi has walked the ramp with no makeup on.
For the opening show, we feel the look was quite subtle. Then again, we have to go through the collection to judge the showstopper dress. And for that, you'll need to stay tuned. Coming up more on AIFW SS 2017.
