Dr Shabeer is currently working as a Senior Consultant, Gastrointestinal & Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgeon at Fortis Hospital, Bangalore.

Dr Shabeer has over 20 years of extensive surgical experience.

He is an acknowledged teacher and menot by the Association of Laparoscopic Surgery, United Kingdom.

He initiated the establishment of a laparoscopic centre at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Bermingham where he had successfully performed over 240 cases of colorectal cancers laparoscopically.

An avid researcher, his interests lies in prevention of colon cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, teaching medicine and clinical medical ethics.

His special expertise lies in advanced laparoscopic surgery especially for gastro-intestinal cancer.
