Dr. Naresh Bhat is currently the Chief of Gastroenterology & Hepatology at the Aster CMI Hospital, Bangalore

Dr. Naresh is a well-known Gastroenterologist who provides training to Endoscopists in India and Asia in advanced endoscopic imaging.

He has over 30 years of clinical experience as a Gastroenterologist.

Dr. Naresh Bhat is currently the Chief of Gastroenterology & Hepatology at the Aster CMI Hospital, Bangalore.

He leads a team of Gastroenterologists with experience and skills in different areas like IBD, pancreatic disease, metabolic liver disease and motility disorders to form the Centre of Excellence in Gastroenterology and Liver Disease.

His areas of interest include GI cancer, IBD, therapeutic and paediatric endoscopy.

A winner of over 8 Gold Medals, he was trained in Hamburg, Germany in Therapeutic Endoscopy.

He is also trained in Advanced Endoscopic Imaging, in Japan.

Dr. Bhat was the President of the Society of GI Endoscopy of India in 2009 and has delivered several orations and original research work at International meetings.

He is the chairman of the Indian NBI group and a core member of the Asia NBI group (ANBIG). He also mentors young Gastroenterologists in IBD and Pancreatology.
