Palak Raita Recipe To Beat The Heat (Watch Video)
Raita is the most preferred food during summer. A typical raita is prepared with thick curd and adding a medley of vegetables to it. Sometimes it is also prepared by just adding spices to it. Today we have another healthy and tasty version of raita for you.
Palak raita is a cooling delicacy which is just perfect for the summers. This raita is a healthy option as spinach is rich in iron and vitamins and curd is rich in calcium. Also this recipe helps to keep your body temperature low in this scorching season.

Serves: 3
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Refrigeration time: 30 minutes
Ingredients
- Spinach- ½ cup (finely chopped & blanched)
- Thick fresh curd- 1 ½ cups
- Green chillies- ½ tsp (finely chopped)
- Salt- as per taste
- Sugar- a pinch
- Black pepper powder- as per taste
Procedure
1. Wash the spinach and keep it in hot water for a minute. Do not boil.
2. After a minute, take out the spinach leaves from the water and chop it finely.
3. Whisk the curd in a bowl and add salt, sugar, green chillies and black pepper powder to it. Mix well.
4. Now add the blanched and chopped spinach leaves to the curd and mix it well.
5. Refrigerate the raita for about 30 minutes and then serve it cold.
Healthy palak raita is ready to be served. Enjoy the cooling delight with biryani or paratha.
