Paneer Tomato Gravy Recipe
Paneer is one of the most preferred dish in a vegetarian diet. The dairy product is delicious and can be used to prepare snacks and main course dishes. From skewers to curries, paneer dishes are countless. If you love paneer and want to try some recipes at home for a delicious meal, then you can prepare paneer in tomato gravy.
We often think that paneer recipes require time as they need to be rich and spicy. However, this paneer in tomato gravy recipe can be prepared in just 30 minutes! Paneer In Tomato Gravy, Main Course Recipe:

Serves: 3
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 25-30 minutes
Ingredients
- Paneer- 250 gms (cut into medium sized cubes)
- Onion- 2
- Tomato- 2
- Turmeric powder- 1tsp
- Red chilli powder- 1tsp
- Garam masala- ½ tsp
- Green chillies- 3
- Tomato sauce- 1tsp
- Bay leaf- 1
- Cumin seeds- ½ tsp
- Salt- as per taste
- Oil- 2tbsp
Procedure
- Heat oil in a frying pan. Fry the paneer cubes on a low flame for 5-10 minutes till they turn light brown. Strain and keep aside.
- Now ground onions with green chillies into a paste.
- Heat the same frying pan and season with bay leaf and cumin seeds.
- Add the onion paste and cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes.
- Meanwhile make a puree of tomatoes.
- Sprinkle turmeric powder, salt and mix well so that the onions cook easily.
- Once the onion paste turns brown, add the pureed tomato. Add red chilli powder, tomato sauce and garam masala.
- Cook on a high flame for 2-3 minutes. Now add the fried paneer cubes and cook for another 2 minutes.
Paneer in tomato gravy is ready to eat. Garnish this main course side dish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
