Mushroom Corn Masala Recipe
Many people do not like the taste and flavour of the soft mushroom. There are many mushroom recipes that are really mouthwatering and finger licking good. From snacks to main course, mushroom dishes can be dry or turned into a gravy.
Mushroom corn masala is a delicious main course recipe that can be made very easily. The dish is healthy and nutritious too. Mushrooms are a rich source of vitamins, fibre, calcium and proteins. So, if you like to eat mushroom, you have one more reason to eat this healthy food. Corn on the other hand is nutritious too. So, mushroom corn masala is a healthy and spicy treat for a meal. Mushroom corn masala, main course recipe:

Serves: 2-3
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 20 minutes
Ingredients
- Mushroom- 250gms (sliced or cut into 4 halves)
- Corn kernels- 1 cup
- Onions- 2 (chopped)
- Capsicum- 1 (chopped)
- Tomato- 1 (chopped)
- Grated coconut- 1tbsp
- Garlic pods- 3-4 (minced)
- Ginger- 1 inch (chopped)
- Green chillies- 2 (sliced)
- Lemon juice- 1tbsp
- Coriander powder- 1tsp
- Red chilli powder- 1tsp
- Poppy seeds- ½tsp
- Cumin seeds- ½tsp
- Salt- as per taste
- Oil- 2-3 tbsp
Procedure
- Heat 1tbsp oil in a frying pan. Season it with cumin seeds. When the seeds start to splutter, add the onions and coconut. Saute on a medium flame for 2 minutes.
- Add garlic, ginger and tomatoes once the onions become tender. Sprinkle salt, coriander powder, red chilli powder and green chillies. Saute for 2-3 minutes. Put the pan off flame. Let it cool. Now blend it into a masala.
- Heat 2tbsp oil in a frying pan. Add the blended masala in the pan. Add salt and cook till the oil separates from the masala.
- Add the corn kernels and mushroom. Cook till the mushroom and corn becomes tender. Pour lemon juice over it and mix well.
Mushroom corn masala is ready to eat. Serve it hot with roti or rice. If you want to add some more spices to the masala, you can use cardamom, cinnamon, clove and bay leaf. Season the masala with these spices in the 1st point of the procedure.
