Kheera Ka Chaat: Side Dish Recipe
Cucumber or kheera is one of the water-rich foods that has its own set of health benefits. It is rich in water which makes it the ideal vegetable for the summer season. Moreover, as it is the season when you need to reduce body heat, cucumber comes handy in such situations.
There are many recipes that can be prepared using cucumber as the chief ingredient. Yes, apart from having it raw with salad, you can also have cucumber as a dish. For example, cucumber can be used to prepare the Indian style side dish. Cucumber, which is known as kheera in Hindi, can be grated and prepared into a spicy chaat.
Kheera ka chaat is a quick side dish which can be served with rice as well as roti. The chaat is prepared with grated cucumber and exotic spices like red chilli powder and chaat masala. If you want to enjoy something new with cucumber, then check out this recipe.
Kheer Ka Chaat: Side Dish Recipe

Serves: 2-3
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Ingredients
1. Cucumber- 1
2. Red chilli powder- a pinch
3. Chaat masala- a pinch
4. Lemon juice- 1tsp
5. Salt- as per taste
Procedure
1. Peel the cucumber and chop off the ends of the vegetable.
2. Grate the cucumber and extract all the juice. Keep the juice aside.
3. In a bowl, mix the grated cucumber with salt, red chilli powder and chaat masala.
4. Before serving, add the lemon juice and mix again. If you add lemon juice and serve later, it will secrete water.
5. You can either have the juice with salt or drink it raw. Cucumber juice is healthy and keeps you hydrated.
Kheera ka chaat is ready to eat. Avoid storing the chaat for more than 30 minutes as the cucumber becomes stale very easily.
