Tasty Gobi Chila: Breakfast Recipe
Chila is a popular North Indian breakfast recipe which looks similar to the South Indian dosa. However the ingredients used and the taste is completely different. Chila is prepared using besan or gram flour. Gram flour is an excellent ingredient to use in any dish. It is low in carbohydrates, contains less fat and is a rich source of nutrients. Gram flour is an ideal selection for those who are extra conscious about their diet.
Preparing this breakfast recipe, gobi chila is simple and does not take much of your time. Usually chila is prepared only with besan. But you can add your choice of vegetables to the batter or even prepare a stuffing to fill inside the chila. Here we are adding grated cauliflower to the batter of the chila to make it nutritious as well as tasty. This gobi chila is delicious and you just cannot stop at one.

Ingredients
- Cauliflower- 1 (small, finely grated)
- Besan (gram flour)- 2 cups
- Coriander leaves- 2tbsp (chopped)
- Green chillies- 2 (finely chopped)
- Salt- as per taste
- Oil- 2tbsp
- Water- 3 cups
Procedure
- Mix besan, grated cauliflower, coriander leaves, green chillies, salt and water in a deep bottomed bowl.
- Mix all the ingredients together to make a semi-thick batter.
- Heat a tawa and grease it with a little oil.
- Take two tablespoons of the batter and spread it on the tawa like a dosa.
- Cook for 2 minutes on medium heat.
- Spread some oil around the corners if necessary.
- As one side of the chila turns golden brown, flip it to the other side with the help of a spatula.
- Cook for 2 minutes on the other side.
- Once done, transfer the chila to a serving plate.
- Repeat the same procedure with rest of the batter to make more chilas.
