Although it is a grand mom recipe, the bread dessert is most preferred in families. It contains all the normal kitchen ingredients but the taste, definitely heavenly. Here is how you make it.
Bread Pudding Recipe – Christmas Special!
Ingredients:
- 2 cups milk
- 1/4 cup butter (unsalted)
- 1/3 cup sugar (granulated)
- 3 eggs
- 2 tsps cinnamon powder
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 cups bread (pieced)
- Chopped almonds and pistchios
- For Sauce:
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tsps butter
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp flour
- Dash of salt
Directions:
1. In a medium saucepan, boil milk with butter. Stir until the butter dissolves completely. Leave it to cool.
2. Combine sugar, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg. Beat well.
3. Slowly add milk to the egg mixture and keep stirring.
4. Spread the bread pieces in a greased casserole. Sprinkle the chopped almonds and pistachios.
5. Pour the milk mixture slowly and evenly. Bake it for 45 to 50 minutes (at 350 degrees F) and serve warm.
6. In a separate bowl, mix the sauce ingredients. Add to the bread dessert and serve. Tasty bread pudding is ready.
