Michelle Obama Wears Bibhu Mohapatra Dress At India Visit
First Lady Michelle Obama has always gathered a lot of attention for her royal and elegant style quotient. The stylista is in India with husband, US President Barack Obama, and as soon as she landed on the Indian soil, Michelle Obama wowed with her first appearance.
Ditching her international designers, Michelle Obama picked up a Bibhu Mohapatra dress while landing yesterday at Palam airport. Michelle looked vibrant in the Indian-American designer creation.
The knee-length printed custom dress was worn with a matching coat of the same length. The shift dress featured blue poppies on a lattice background and is from his collection inspired by another formidable style icon, writer and political activist Nancy Cunard.

The lattice is drawn from the cane weave in old furniture still to be found in the bungalows in his home state of Odisha. The dress is from his Spring 2015 collection. On Sunday, the designer tweeted about the dress and posted snapshots showing Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeting Michelle and Barack Obama at the airport.

Earlier, Michelle Obama wore a Bibhu Mohapatra dress at The Tonight Show with Jay Leno in 2012.
