LFW 2014: Ragini Ahuja's METAL Collection Is Enticing!

On day 4 of Lakme Fashion Week 2014, the Winter/Festive show started with a bang! The collections seen on the ramp were enticing. Models who walked the ramp for IKAI by designer Ragini Ahuja were decked up with a lot of leather and other contents related to metallic colours. The collection, which goes by the name of 'METAL', had colours which were dull, but pleasing to the eyes at the same time.

IKAI by designer Ragini Ahuja usually focusses on bringing a romantic side to sportswear. The boxy canvas-like silhouettes were adorned with edgy illustrations like 'XL' & 'M'. To add to the 'METAL' collection, animated details were also put into use.

What caught our attention the most is the flora & fauna in sheep nappa that were adorned with brass strips. The strips outbeat a lot of styles which were shown on day 4 at LFW 2014.

Apart from leather, Ragini Ahuja carefully included a touch of satin too. The outfits included skirts and peplum tops, which were extremely loose fitting. The patterns on each of her outfits were extremely weird since it was a combination of floral versus stripes. To give the styles a boost, models wore black ugly sneakers which were out of the box!

Thigh High Slits

Thigh high slits have never run out of style. On the ramp, this leather dress had a daring slit showing off the models toned legs. A touch of sheer added bliss to the look.

Bloody Red

The sheer overflowing coat over the printed skirt was quite the look. The bodice of the outfit too was sensational to the eyes.

It's In The Stripes

As stated earlier, most of the designs seen on the ramp featured animated prints. Striped skirts and floral tops completed the look.

Red Is In Town

For the Winter/Festive season, red is usually one of the colours which will make up for the season. The red dress was seductive since it also had black prints on it.

Leather Effects

The short dress can be easily carried away as an LBD. However, this short dress seen on the ramp in the METAL collection, had a touch of red and leather block prints.
