The 65th Cannes Film Festival started from 16 May, 2012. Both Hollywood and Bollywood celebrities attend this prestigious cultural event of the film industry. These famous celebrities have all eyes of paparazzi and fashion icons on them when they walk the red carpet. What did Freida Pinto, the stylish Bollywood celebrity wore at Cannes 2012?:

The 27-year-old actress's thigh slit gown gave the right leg view like the one that Angelina Jolie flaunted at the Grammy Award. On the opening ceremony of the festival, she wore a pink gown that showed her right leg. Seems, Angelina Jolie has made the thigh slit gown (revelation of right leg) a rage in the fashion world. Leg baring gowns has become a common pattern among celebrities. Recently, Nicole Scherzinger was seen wearing a thigh slit gown at another event.

The star was seen at the premiere of Moonrise Kingdom. She wore a pink thigh slit satin gown designed by Micheal Angel. The pink coloured gown with a multicolored sequin strapless bodice was complimented as well as commented by the fashion. However, the almost peplum dress didn’t go well with her slim figure. Peplum style was a high fashion trend in the 40-50's.

The thigh high slit silky gown made her uncomfortable at the red carpet. Her pose with the right leg like Angelina Jolie looked okay. When compared to her last appearance at the Cannes, this time, she didn't rule to get attention from the fashion police but by the critics.

Later in the evening at the opening night dinner, Freida Pinto wore a black sequined floor length Versace gown that did justice to the gorgeous star. Even this black Versace gown was a thigh high slit but, on the left leg. The pink lipstick at the opening night dinner added to her classic evening look. But, she lacked poise and looked dull. However, the emerald earrings were seen in both her appearances at the 65th Cannes Film Festival, 2012.
