The whole tinsel town wanted to see Aishwarya Rai Bachchan at the Cannes Film Festival, 2012. The postnatal fat of the new mom had become a controversial issue everywhere. As a jury member of the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, Aishwarya Rai has attended the event for the last 10 years. The diva took 2 weeks to pick up the best outfit for this world known event. At the Cannes Film Festival, 2012, Aishwarya Rai decided to go Desi. She walked the red carpet in a traditional off-white sari with chikankari embroidery work designed by Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla.

The off white saree with chikankari work has an antique gold embroidery on the borders. Instead of wearing the bright colours, Aishwarya Rai has picked up pastel and light colours for the Cannes Film Festival. To show off the embellished blouse and the pallu of the saree, she preferred the floating style to drape the Indian dress. The sand coloured full sleeves embroidered collar neck blouse added a glamourous touch to the traditional look of Aishwarya Rai at the Cannes 2012 Red Carpet.

Aishwarya's hairstyle was something that added a charm to the Indian attire. The high bun with few strands of hair falling out near the ears was accessorised with a subtle faux-hawk atop her head. This year, Aishwarya Rai decided to wear minimal jewelery as her saree and blouse were to embroidered to highlight the accessories. But, her perfect shimmery golden eye makeup with a thick line of black eye liner flaunted her blue eyes.

The diva surprised everyone with her pictures after reaching Cannes in the afternoon. Aishwarya Rai looked stunning in a cream and grey ombre Angelo Katsapis gown. Everyone was surprised to see the new slim figure of the gorgeous diva. The star looked amazing in peach-pink lip gloss and little eye makeup. Her well brushed soft curled hair was sensational.

The new mom decided to wear traditional on the 65th Cannes Film Festival. Earlier too, the diva has worn traditional attires at the event but, this year, Aishwarya has taken the breath away with her appearances post pregnancy.
