One Zipper Dress Turns To Ninety Nine To Beat Recession

A cost cutting effort as well as to enrich the wardrobe, the dress made of 120 separate zips is multiple use savvy from being a belt, T shirt or even an evening dress. The neckline, the length of the sleeve and the dress can be altered that makes it look unique in its own way when worn differently. It took about two whole months for the evolvement of the dress from conception to the final production. The first dress was handmade in black and silver in accordance with Sebastian Errazuriz's design.
Errazuriz, 31, has commenced to talk with the developers for mass production of the dress to hit the shelves at a reasonable price.
"The dress was influenced by the constant changes and demands that fashion establishes every season," the Telegraph had him as saying.
"The idea was to create a single dress that could easily be reconstructed over and over again to comply with hundreds of variations. The Zipper dress can be adapted from a full-length night dress, to a t-shirt, a miniskirt or even a belt. Each one of them can be either separated from the rest of the dress or open to play and reveal layers or skin beneath"
The designer also added : "I believe the concept is particularly poignant in the current economic crisis because you can buy one dress and get a hundred different fashion possibilities" He believes that this concept would help control the the expenditure of women with regards to clothes during the economic meltdown.
He also said : The dress is aimed at women who like fashion but who don't like being told what to wear. Women want to decide how to wear a dress and be able to adapt and transform it to fit their taste or mood of the day,"
