Home Remedies To Get Rid Of Forehead Suntan
Suntanning is a natural condition caused due to overexposure of skin to sun’s radiations for a significant period of time. However, did you know that suntanning is actually our skin’s way of protecting itself from the sun’s harmful radiations?
According to the science of human skin, our skin becomes darker when the quantity of melanin present in our flesh increases. When we spend a considerable amount of time out in the sun, our skin reacts by producing more melanin (thus causing our skin to tan) in order to protect our skin from the sun’s harmful ultraviolet radiations.

Sure, natural tanning protects our skin from the sun’s rays to an extent but the discolouration it causes on our face is terrifying! Especially, your forehead that stands out from the rest of your face when it gets tanned.
In this article, we will discuss home remedies that can help us get rid of forehead suntan.
Wash Your Face
When your forehead gets hit by the sun's strong rays, it becomes darker than the rest of your face. All you have to do is give your forehead a gentle scrub and then wash off your face with a cleansing face wash.
This procedure may take days but it is the best way to remove suntan off your forehead. The gentle scrubbing results in the shedding of the damaged top layer and ultimately helps your skin to regenerate.
Power Of Lemon Juice
Lemon juice is known for its natural bleaching quality that lightens your skin. Specific dark patches of suntan such as those on forehead can be treated with lemon juice. You can use lemon juice to make the following natural scrub that can prove to be a perfect remedy to remove forehead suntan naturally.
Add some sugar and glycerin to a cup containing an adequate amount of lemon juice. Use your fingertips in a gentle motion to scrub your suntanned forehead with this natural scrub. Doing so will help you get rid of the suntan from your forehead and will also make your skin softer.
Potato - The Anti-Tan Vegetable
Potato is one vegetable readily available in all kitchens that can help you get rid of that stubborn suntan from your face. Use any of the following home remedies that require potato as an important ingredient to remove your forehead suntan.
1) Either you can apply potato juice directly onto your forehead or you can mix 1 tsp. of lemon juice with 1 tsp. of potato juice and then apply the mixture on your forehead. In either case, leave the juice for 15 minutes on your forehead or on any other suntanned area. Repeat till you get rid of the forehead suntan.
2) You can also apply raw mashed potato on the suntanned forehead. Leave it on for 15 minutes before washing it off. Repeat daily till you see a suntan-free forehead.
3) Potato peels have antioxidant properties. Therefore, placing potato peels on your forehead or on other suntanned areas reduces suntan significantly.
