Ways To Care For Your Sensitive Skin This Season

By Tara Hari

Sensitive skin is the toughest to maintain. It will get irritated by the smallest of things, like the food you eat or skin care products you apply. Your skin might get inflamed or you might break out every time you try a new product or eat too much junk food. Because of these hazards, you have to make sure you take good care of your skin and complexion. Rain water can sometimes cause a number of unwarranted skin problems.

During the monsoon, when your skin will be dehydrated due to the excessive sweating caused by humidity, you have to take extra care of your skin. During the monsoon, the skin is also prone to infections due to the humidity. Here are a few ways to take care of your sensitive skin this season.

Cosmetics

Take special care to avoid heavy makeup this rainy season. If you do wear makeup, make sure it is waterproof and not irritable to your skin. Test every cosmetic before you buy them, since your sensitive skin might have allergic reactions to certain skincare products. Make sure to remove your makeup before sleeping. Going to bed without removing makeup will be extremely harmful to your skin.

Cleaning Rituals

Make sure you cleanse, tone and moisturise your face regularly. Cleanse your skin at least twice a day with a face wash that suits your skin. You should also keep your face moisturised and toned. This removes the excessive dirt and oil present in your skin. Moisturising without fail will keep the skin smooth, supple and healthy. Toning revives the skin and maintains its pH balance. Exfoliate your skin once a week with a good scrub to remove the dead cells.

Practise Hygiene

Always make sure you wash your hands. We touch our faces frequently and our hands might contain harmful bacteria and germs that we pick up through our daily interactions with the world. This is why, it is essential to clean your hands before you touch your face. Always carry around hand sanitizer everywhere you go.
