Is Your Diet Causing Acne?

1.Fried Food – Home fried food intake may not be harmful but the commercial fried food is processed liquid fat. These are not natural fat and has damaging effect on the skin. These fats consumed over a long period of time forces the system to use these fat base to construct new skin cells. These skin cell based on harmful fats are prone to acne, pimples and other skin disorders.
2.Sugar – Excessive consumption of sugar is also one of the major food which causes acne. Excessive amount of sugar suppresses the immune system, which makes it difficult for the body to fight against bacterial infection. It also hinders the oxygen absorption and circulation in the body thus, enhancing the fungal infections. It also leads to open pores, making the skin vulnerable to acne and pimples. The final effect of excessive sugar consumption is the indigestion and constipation.
3.Dairy Products – It is often believed that consumption of milk and dairy product is good for health but the fact is that after the age of five, consumption of milk should be reduced to one glass a day. Excessive consumption of milk leads to hormonal imbalance which increases the flow of sebum oil. Increased flow of sebum oil leads to clogging of the skin pores and thus, result in acne. Thus, dairy product is yet another food which causes acne.
4.Caffeine – sleeplessness during exams or for office works often results in several cups of coffee which has high concentration of caffeine. Caffeine triggers hormonal imbalance and stress. Both these factors cause acne, thus, making it one of the foods which causes acne.
