Easy Fruit Scrubs For Monsoon
Monsoons are coming so it is time to protect your face from over hydrating or becoming dry. A change in the weather doesn't mean to put away your skin care routine. It means that one has to modify it to suit the weather as weather changes have direct impact on your skin. To ensure a good skin one has to maintain a good regime.
Monsoon fruits like strawberries, cherries, bananas, litchi, peach and papaya can be used as an effective facial scrub. Following are few scrubs which you can make at home and apply on your face:
Strawberries: Red, ripe and plumpy strawberries can be used as a wonderful facial scrub. If you have overripe strawberries at home then don't throw them. Mash them in a bowl and mix 3 tablespoons of honey and apply the lumpy mixture on your face. Keep it for 10 minutes and then rinse it with lukewarm water. This helps treating oily skin.
It can also be used as a moisturizer to dry skin. Make a strawberry sugar facial scrub by mixing sugar and strawberries and massage your face with this scrub for 1-2 minutes. Leave it for 2 minutes and then rinse it with water.
Bananas: This is a natural fruit for skin care. The creamy pulp of banana is luscious and soothing and works well as a carrier to other ingredients too. Banana scrub is a great moisturizer that helps exfoliating the skin and also tighten it. Mash bananas with ¼ vanilla extract/ essential oil with a fork and scrub the paste on your face for 3 minutes. It cleanses the skin and moisturizes it.
Papaya: The fruit contains papain, enzymes that act as a natural exfoliant to clear dead skin cells and make the skin ultra-smooth. Papaya facial scrub also helps in cleansing skin pores, clearing dirt and debris and excess oil from the skin. Mash papaya pulp with a fork to avoid making it too watery. Add oatmeal and sugar and mix it till the sugar melts. Apply the scrub on your face and gently massage in a circular for 1 minute. Leave it for 3 minutes and then rinse it off with water or milk.
Peach: Whip peach and egg white together in a blender and make a smooth paste. Apply this peach scrub on your face and leave it for 30 minutes. This paste helps you tighten the skin and moisturize it. Peach is also used as a cream to get fair. Mix peach with milk/cream and apply on the face. Wash it after 2 minutes.
So, you can use these seasonal monsoon fruits on your face as facial scrub and enjoy the health benefits of these fruits at the same time.
