North Korea"s Supreme Leader, Kim Jong II is now making news for reasons other than politics.

Instead of talking about the East Asian nation"s defense – his signature dressing style, tunic and matching trousers, is fast becoming a fashion statement across the world.

Kim Jong II who is 69 years old, often wears the simple dress in khaki or blue-grey colours. During winters he also sports a shapeless anorak and fur hat.

“The august image of the Great General, who is always wearing the modest suit while working, leaves a deep impression on people"s minds in the world. That is because his image as a great man is so outstanding," are the words of praise quoted from an online article.

An French fashion expert said that the dressing style of Kim Jong II is fast turning into a fashion statement and is spreading across the world.
