Gold Shimmer Smoky Festive Eye Makeup Look
Gold and smoky together may not seem compatible but they are. Here’s the look for you
With the festive season right around the corner, you need more ways to shine don't you? This gold shimmer smoky eye will get all the focus to your peepers.
Most people would shy away from doing a smoky eye with gold in it in the fear of looking over the top, but with the festive season here, a little bit of drama never killed anyone did it?
Paired with the right kind of complementary makeup and clothes this look is all you would need to make heads turn this festive season. After all, everyone likes to be the center of the party.
This can be a little difficult to pull off on an everyday basis, which is why it is going to be a party specific look. To keep your makeup as the focus of the look, keep your outfit on the lighter, more mellow side.
Here's how you can combine two of your favourite eye makeup looks to make the gold shimmer smoky eye look!

Prime Lids
Prime your eyelids with an eyeshadow primer, so that your eyeshadow stays in place for longer.

Crease:
On your crease, sweep brown eyeshadow to act as a transition shade between the rest of the shades. The key to good eyeshadow is blending.

Lid:
Apply a black gel eyeliner all over the lid. Blend it in and mix it with black eyeshadow to give it a softer look.

Gold:
On the outer corner and the centre of your lid, put the gold shimmer. This makes the entire look pop.

Lips:
Keep the lips nude or light brown. If you go for a bold lip shade then you would definitely look over the top. Nude lipsticks flatter everyone no matter what skin tone. And make sure it is a matte lip!
