7 Amazing Kitchen Ingredients To Exfoliate The Skin
Exfoliation does not get the amount of importance that it deserves. Scrubbing the skin is extremely important to keep it smooth and also to get rid of the dead skin cells, to give way to new skin. There are certain ingredients you can find in your kitchens that work their best to exfoliate skin.
Exfoliation is basically defined as using a granular substance to rub your skin to get rid of the dead skin cells. There are several kitchen ingredients you could use to get rid of the dead skin cells.
There are also many scrubs, which are the natural ways to exfoliate skin, you could buy from the markets.
However, in case you are worried about the chemicals, you should stick to brands that use minimal chemicals and try to use only natural ingredients.
Regardless of how natural the products are, store-bought products tend to have some amount of chemical in them.
We would all love to switch to the all-natural ingredients for our beauty purposes. They're safe and cost-effective as well.Besides, branded scrubs use plastic microbeads that are considered harmful for the environment.
So, here's a list of ingredients you can use from your kitchen to exfoliate your skin, without spending all your money. Bonus, these ingredients wouldn't even have any side effects as well. Have a look!

1. Coffee
Coffee is one of the best exfoliators for the skin, especially the body skin. It makes the skin firmer and also has anti-ageing properties. The caffeine works to tighten the skin. Mix coffee with some olive oil and rub it all over your skin before a shower.

2. Sugar
Sugar is an ingredient that is found in a lot of scrubs we could find at the stores. So why not use this amazing ingredient to make a scrub at home? Mix some powdered sugar with any vegetable oil like coconut oil and use that as a scrub.

3. Lemon
Lemon cannot be used all alone as a scrub, but once mixed with sugar or salt, it makes for a great ingredient, as lemon helps get rid of the dead skin cells while also acting as a bleaching agent for the skin.

4. Oatmeal
Oatmeal is great for skin that is sensitive. It also absorbs oil. Mix powdered oatmeal with any oil or water base and use as a scrub.

5. Strawberry
Strawberry pulp makes for a sweet and amazing gentle exfoliator, and the strawberry flavour makes it so much fun to use too. This can even be mixed with other ingredients like sugar or honey to double the impact.

6. Honey
Honey is known to gently get rid of the dead skin cells, while making sure that the skin does not lose too much moisture. This is great for people with dull and sensitive skin.

7. Sea Salt
The course texture of sea salt, and the fact that it does not dissolve easily, makes it a great scrubbing agent. Mix it with water or an oil to turn it into a scrub. Oil would leave the skin soft and moisturised.
