Effective Remedies For Body Rash
The inflammation in the skin characterised by itching, irritation and blisters is referred to as body rash. It can also change the colour of the skin sometimes. These rashes can occur on any part of the body.
The causes could be food allergies, exposure to chemicals, insect bites, eczema, psoriasis, excessive swelling, cosmetics, fungal or viral infections. However, other factors like cold weather, tuberculosis, leprosy, melasma and certain medications can also contribute to skin rashes.
Body rash can be easily identified by its appearance. Some of the symptoms of body rash include redness, body heat, rough texture or bump, burning sensation, body itching, skin irritation, swelling, dry and scaly skin.
Mild skin rashes can be easily treated at home. However, if the problem persists, one has to consult a doctor for the treatment.

Aloe Vera
Aloe vera is known for its medicinal uses. It has skin healing and soothing properties. It is used to treat many skin infections. It is found to be beneficial in curing body rashes too. Extract the gel of aloe vera. Apply it directly on to the affected area for immediate soothing effects.
Olive Oil
Rashes appear due to dry skin as well. Olive oil being rich in vitamins hydrates the skin and soothes the rashes. You can apply olive oil directly on to the skin. Gently massage the oil on skin for a few minutes. Leave it for sometime and rinse.
Baking Soda
Baking soda can also be used to treat rashes. Applying baking soda on the affected area gives an instant relief from the irritation and itching sensation. It dries out the rashes and relieves the itching and inflammation associated with rashes.
Cod Liver Oil
Cod liver oil is not only an energy booster, but is also a good moisturiser that can be used to treat skin rashes. Apply a mixture of cod liver oil with vitamin E. This can effectively reduce rashes and prevent further damage to the skin.
Basil
Basil leaves are one of the remedies that provide instant relief from painful rashes. Crush few basil leaves and apply it on to the skin. Rinse after sometime. Follow this procedure for several times in a day for best results.
Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar is another excellent remedy to treat skin infections and rashes. The acidic content present in it fights the skin infections and calms itching of the skin. Dip a cotton ball in this and dab it directly on to the affected area of the skin. Leave it for sometime and rinse.
Neem
Due to its anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antiviral and antifungal properties, neem is very effective in treating various skin ailments such as eczema and rashes. It rejuvenates the skin cells and cures rashes.
