Soap nut is widely used for beauty purposes. It is a natural and a perfect shampoo based ingredient that is good for your tresses.

Before you get too excited, here is what you should do first:
Place 12 to 15 soap nuts in about 6 cups of water. Bring this to a boil. Simmer the water for an hour and when done allow this contents to soak overnight. The next morning strain and store the soap nuts liquid in an airtight glass jar. Since it contains no preservatives soap nut can get spoiled within a week, so add a little lime juice to the jar to extend it's shelf life.
Here are some of the best ways to use soap nut to clean your home:
Make Your Windows Sparkle
To make your windows sparkle use soap nut to clean them. All you need to do is fill a spray bottle with about 250ml of water. Add 15 ml each of soap nut liquid and vinegar. Spray and then wipe clean with dry cloth.
For Jewellery
If you want to use non-toxic products to clean your jewellery, soap nut is the best. Soak the jewels in this soap water and after a few minutes use an old soft toothbrush to remove debris. Rinse with clean water and polish with a soft cloth.
Natural Handwash
Soap nut is one of the best ingredients you can use to wash your hand. All you need to do is prepare the water and add lemon juice to it so that it stays for a longer period of time and has a better smell when used.
Pet Soap
It is always best to use natural shampoo or soap on your pet's coat.
Clean Your Carpets
If your carpets are stained and your finding it difficult to remove the stain, simply spray soap nut over the stain and brush it away. This is one of the best ways you can use this soapy water in your home.
Wash Your Car Too
Instead of using those harsh detergents to wash your car, use soap nut instead. It will leave behind a nice aroma and will also add shine to your windows.
