Bitter Remedies For Intestinal Worms
Intestinal worms are a very common problem, especially found in children. These worms are parasites that live in the intestines of other host organisms.
There are numerous types of intestinal worms; however, out of all these four such worms namely roundworm, pinworm, whipworm and tapeworm, in specific, are the most problematic.
Basically, roundworms and whipworms spread through food and impure contaminated water.
Pinworm can be transmitted from one person to the other and tapeworms can enter the host's body through the consumption of undercooked or raw food such as meat.
These worms can be introduced to the human body at swimming pools, rivers, etc, or by following unhygienic personal habits and poor sanitation facilities.
Such intestinal worms can thrive in the intestines for quite sometime, without actually causing much disturbance to the body.
However, they can also cause problems like pain in the abdomen, loss of appetite, diarrhoea, itching around the area of the rectum, sleeplessness, nausea, weight loss and dysentery.
However, one can get rid of these intestinal worms even by using certain home remedies. There are some easy, but bitter, home remedies to treat small intestinal worms.
These home remedies can cure the intestinal worms if the situation has not turned very serious. The following are some of the remedies to treat intestinal worms.
1. Onion Juice
Onion juice is great for treating thread worms. All you need to do is to take an onion and crush it to further extract its juice.
Consume this juice first thing in the morning and get relief from those troublesome parasites.
2. Pomegranate Bark
Dry up the bark, or simply take the peel of the pomegranate and grind it to make a fine powder. Take it with sugar to make it easy for you to consume, as it tastes extremely bitter.
This mixture is very helpful to do away with those intestinal parasites.
3. Garlic
Garlic is known for its antiseptic as well as antifungal properties. Just by consuming 3-4 cloves of raw garlic every day you can treat the intestinal worms effectively.
Just chew them up and see the beneficial effects.
4. Bitter Gourd
Extract the juice of a bitter gourd and take one tablespoon of it with a glass of butter milk. This harsh-tasting remedy will be equally harsh on those parasitic worms.
5. Lemon seeds
Make a fine paste of the seeds of lemon and mix a glass of water and some lemon juice and consume it. It definitely sounds like a yucky drink to be taken, but it will provide a great relief from the intestinal worms.
6. Rice Vinegar
A tablespoon of acidic rice vinegar with a glass of water is an effective measure for treating intestinal worms. Take 3 to 4 glasses of this mix every day to get rid of these parasites as soon as possible.
Also, remember more the acidity of the vinegar, the better is its effect.
7. Cloves
Just by consuming 1 or 2 cloves every day, you can prevent intestinal worms due to its antimicrobial properties.
Cloves not only destroy the parasites, but also destroy their eggs to prevent further problems.
8. Wormwood
Wormwood is an excellent herb, though bitter in taste, for getting rid of intestinal worms. Consuming a mixture of wormwood oil and olive oil is very beneficial for treating the parasites living in the intestines.
However, being toxic in nature, one has to be careful while using this herb.
