Every girl can be a Goddess on her wedding day. That is the theme of this collection.

1. Tarun Tahiliani Vintage 20s Collection:

Tarun Tahiliani is one of the finest designers of Indian wear. This time he has revisited the vintage fashion of the 1920s. All the models have hairdos that look like they have come out of the era of silent movies. Side buns and elaborately crafted curls compliment the vintage designs quite well. We particularly likes these 2 red and gold bridal lehengas that look like improvisations of the Rajasthani style. The white outfit is the most creative bridal outfit for a Muslim wedding we have seen in a while.

2. The Best Of Red By Jyotsna Tiwari:

Red is colour most often worn by the Indian bride. Jyotsna Tiwari presents the best of red in the Bridal Fashion Week. By far the best designs in various shades of red have been seen in this collection. We just loved Sonakski Sinha's all-red bridal legenga. But we liked the white and orange red outfit even better. But the biggest find of the collection was the blue velvet jacket worn over the red saree.

3. Anjalee & Arjun Kapoor's Mughal Brides:

A visual bonanza of designs inspired by the Persian style. All the lovely motifs mingled with the sheer pleasure of seeing Bipasha Basu walk the ramp in a fabulous multi-coloured lehenga. The designer duo have used a fair amount of lace in their designs.

4. Narendra Kumar Ahmed's Contemporary Brides:

This is Narendra Kumar's first bridal collection and he presents it us with gusto. The collection is for the contemporary Indian woman who is willing to experiment. Some rather unconventional designs for a young bride. But we are still wondering what the feathers on the head are for?

5. Vikram Phadnis Greek Goddess Collection:

If there was one designer who has made Bollywood divas want to become brides, then it is Vikram Phadnis. A connoisseur in the bridal wear range, he amazed us once again with list latest collection at Aamby Valley Bridal Fashion Week. All his models were dressed like Greek goddesses with a golden wreath around their heads. We particularly like the pearl kamarbandh and show stopper Soha Ali Khan's outfit; the colour combination of deep purple velvet and pink bridal lehenga makes Soha look like a real Goddess!

These are the 5 collections at the Aamby Valley Fashion Week that Boldsky likes the best. The Grand Finale is still due so gear up for it before you choose your D'Day costume.
