How To Get Rid Of Dullness Of Skin During Periods
Periods can be really difficult for all of us, what with the cramps and bleeding. But our skin starts acting up as well. Here are some skincare tips to follow during periods.
For us ladies, the time of the month not only defines our moods, but also defines how our skin looks. That time of the month can be really tough on the skin as well. So, we will tell you what to do to get rid of the dullness of skin during periods.
During your periods, your skin is definitely at its worst, so special care and attention needs to be given to it. At this time, you must make sure that you don't experiment with your skin too much. But the plus point is that the time after your periods is definitely the best for your skin and the overall you.
So, apart from the ghastly cramps and bleeding, your skin is punishing you as well, with looking dull, flaking out and, of course, not to mention pimples. It's like even your skin is confused with all the hormonal changes taking place in the body.
Well, here are a few tips to make that time of the month slightly easier on your skin.
1. Steam:
Take a steam. This will not only help you relax and calm your nerves at this time, but also open up your pores and help get rid of the gunk there. This means, clearer skin and lesser breakouts.
2. Warm Towel Treatment:
Take a warm towel and pat it on your skin. This will have a similar effect as that of the steam, but it would be easier to do this. Rubbing the warm towel on your face will also help get rid of the dead skin cells.
3. Exfoliate:
Scrubbing, or exfoliation, will give you glowing skin and a nice flush to go along with it. Just remember to use your moisturiser right after this, as scrubbing tends to make the skin dry.
4. Do Not Experiment:
This is absolutely not the time for you to experiment with different products. Your skin is at its most sensitive right now, and nothing new you use on your skin will make it look good. So, save the experiments for after your periods when your skin is perfect.
5. Stick To The Routine:
You know the cleansing, toning, moisturising routine, isn't it? It is super important to stick to this routine at all times, and especially so during your periods. This is a skin care tip you must follow even during your periods.
6. Avoid Too Much Makeup:
Makeup would make your skin look and feel worse. As you already have dullness happening, it is best not to use a heavy foundation or concealer, as it can make you look all caked up or even ashy. Stick to tinted moisturisers or BB creams instead with a lip and cheek stain for a pop of colour. Apart from that, avoid makeup.
