Homemade Mud Face Masks

Mud face masks are very common beauty treatment to fight acne, treat sun tan and get a glowing skin. There are many women who feel that mud face masks do not work. However, this depends on the skin type and how you use it. If you apply it once a month, mud masks can never show results. You need to have patience and spend time on applying mud packs (at least once in a week). Here are few homemade mud face masks that can be prepared in just few minutes time. Try them to get a clean and flawless skin.

Multani mitti with yoghurt and lemon juice: Multani mitti or fuller's earth is a very commonly used face mask. It is very effective in treating acne and oily skin. In a bowl, add multani mitti, yogurt and few drops of lemon juice. Apply this mud mask on your face and let it dry. It takes around 10-15 minutes to dry. Wash it off with cold water. Do not talk or smile when the mask is drying. This can loosen your skin and form fine lines.

Clay, milk and honey mask: This is another common mud mask that can be made in minutes. To make this homemade face mask, you need clay (green or french clay), milk and honey. Honey has many antioxidants that fight ageing, rejuvenates skin, opens skin pores and milk moisturises the skin. Just make a thick paste of these ingredients. If you have acne or pimple, you can add few drops of lemon extract. Apply this mud mask on your face and neck. Leave for 10 minutes. Rinse with cold water to get a clear skin.

Clay with green tea: If you have tanned your skin in the beach, it is time to bring back your skin complexion. Just mix French clay with green tea liquor. The liquor is prepared by soaking green tea bags or tea leaves in hot water for 5-10 minutes. Make a paste with these two ingredients and apply on the face. You can relax your time by placing a few cucumber slices on your tired eyes. Leave for 10-15 minutes and then rinse.

Multani mitti/clay with rose water: Refresh your tired skin with this homemade face masks. Just mix multani mitti or clay with a few drops of rose water. Make a thick paste and apply on the face. If you use multani mitti, you can apply this face mask on alternate days to cure acne and pimples. Clay can be harmful on the soft skin so use it only on weekly basis.
