3. Light five diyas of ghee in front of the Goddess. If not five diyas, then try lighting a large diya filled with ghee.

4. One should try to offer lotus flowers to the Goddess as She is fond of this flower. The lotus flower, on the other hand, is often depicted as the Asana of Goddess Lakshmi.

5. In order to please Goddess Lakshmi, one should chant 'Shree' 108 times as it is considered quite impactful than chanting any other mantra.

6. If possible, then try giving something to your maid(s), servant(s), employees(s) and worker(s) as a present.

7. It would be better if you use the silver idols of Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha for puja during Diwali. Though one should worship the silver idols of the deities throughout the year, worshiping the same during Diwali can bring good luck, fortune, wealth and prosperity to one's life.

8. One must clean his/her house thoroughly as Goddess Lakshmi resides in a clean and tidy place.

9. You should wear new clothes but avoid wearing black clothes, ornaments or shoes as this isn't considered auspicious. Instead, you should wear white, red, golden, orange, green, yellow and other bright colours.

10. If you are capable of buying silver and gold on this day, then please do the same. Keep these metals in front of the Goddess For worshipping Her and seeking blessings.

11. One should perform all the rituals of Diwali with their family members. While doing so, make sure you follow a peaceful approach. Chanting on the top of your voice and clapping your hands, must be avoided.

12. Since Goddess Lakshmi is fond of peace and harmony, make sure you do not end up arguing with anyone. Also, do not hold on to grudges on this day.
