As far as the Hindu religion is concerned, it has many gods and goddesses, and most of them have had a role to play in the religion. Among all the gods, the Hindus have a great amount of love and devotion towards Lord Krishna. Due to this faith and devotion, people celebrate Krishna Janmashtami every year to remark the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna. This year people will be celebrating Krishna Janmashtami on 24 August 2019.

According to Hindu mythology, Lord Krishna is believed to be the incarnation of Lord Vishnu. He is said to have played one of the most important characters in the Mahabharata, the longest epic poem of Hindus.

As the strongest character in the story of Mahabharata, Lord Krishna stands as an embodiment of love, respect, humanism, bravery, statesmanship, and much more.
