A Bitter Sweet Romantic Weekend-The Battle Zone!

By Super Admin

I still remember the moment when the lean and wheatish face with searching eyes looked into mine. I was waiting for this moment for almost one year and now, I didn't know how to react. After moments of silence, he told, "Come, let's go!" I was waiting for this moment and with ease I went with him.

We checked into 'The Qutub' soon. I felt that all the eyes in the world were looking at us. As he closed the door behind him and sat opposite to me in the hotel room, I was sweating in that A/C ambience. " All alone in a hotel room with a stranger! What if"

"You seem to be so tensed. So do I. Can we drink something?" He took a coke bottle from the small refrigerator in the room and handed over another one to me. The cool drink started to soothe my body and mind. Then we started to take good notice of each other.

The words started to pour endless and we realized with a startle that it was about 10p.m. "Do you want to go back now?" he asked, while his eyes urged me to stay back. I don't know from where I got the courage and shook my head as a 'No. '

We were talking as the shadows over the mountains turned into dark, blue, red and finally the blazing light. We also decided that we wont let our love to lie in darkness and will kindle it to the blazing light.

He dropped me at hostel by afternoon and we bid good-bye to meet again for a lifetime. My ansal plaza, children, coke bottle, cool drink, dhanyasreem, handbags, mobiles, relationship, roommates, shopping, the qutub were not there in the room and the neighbors informed me that they have gone to Ansal Plaza. I went to the mall since I didn't have the key of the room. I did some shopping and met my friends there. Then when we returned the black esteem was there at the gate!

That day I realized that the concept of love is good but the feeling of love hurts at many times. As soon as I saw the parents, my roommate lifted my mobile from her handbag. "You left this mobile back at room, when you had gone in a hurry to meet your Cousin."

It later unfolded that my parents called on my cell when I was away. My ansal plaza, children, coke bottle, cool drink, dhanyasree m,handbags, mobiles, relationship, roommates, shopping, the qutub innocently informed that I had gone to my cousin's home. When my mother gasped at the unknown cousin's mention, my ansal plaza, children, coke bottle, cool drink, dhanyasree m, handbags, mobiles, relationship, roommates, shopping, the qutub filled the blanks. My parents were there to take me back home and get me married!

Now, when I think of the moment I thank my parents for their trust and caring they had bestowed on me at a later period. Though they were heartbroken at my misbehavior they finally trusted me and allowed me to finish the studies for the next two years. They waited till I get a job to pop up the question of marriage. By that time my long distance relationship with the once met lover was in its full bloom. After a few conflicts, both our families decided to meet at Canada at my uncle's place. When everything was fixed, the only concern we shared was about our nationalities. We were not ready to change the nationalities into one another.

Again came four years of separation, when Aban stayed back at Canada and worked to get his green card. He then came to India and sought my hand in marriage. Though there were some legal issues, we had our marriage conducted at both countries. When I spend weekends with our two little pranksters in our residence in Canada, I still think of that bittersweet weekend!
