Hung curd dip is a healthy condiment that is prepared as a side and a dressing. The hung curd and garlic dip is a creamy, light and smooth dip that is prepared with hung curd, garlic and seasoned with other spices to make it a delicious condiment.
The hung curd and garlic dip is prepared to accompany a variety of snacks, ranging from nachos to cocktail samosas. It can also be used as a dressing in salads or served as a condiment with vegetable sticks like celery, carrots, cucumber, etc.
The hung curd dip is healthy and low in fat and does not take you on a guilt trip for consuming it in large portions. This lip-smacking dip is not fatty and can be made extra delicious and nutritious by adding vegetables to it.
The hung curd is easy to prepare at home but consumes time. However, once the hung curd is prepared, the dip can be made in a jiffy. It is a perfect condiment for cocktail parties and other social gatherings.

HUNG CURD DIP VIDEO RECIPE

Thick curd - 500 g
Salt to taste
Powdered sugar - 1 tsp
Crushed garlic - 2 tsp
Olive oil - 2 tsp
Black pepper - 1 tbsp
Oregano - 1 tsp

1. Take an empty bowl and place the strainer on top.
2. Double a kitchen cloth and put it on the strainer.
3. Pour the curd in the cloth, hold up the ends of the cloth and squeeze it gently.
4. Once the water starts draining out, keep it back on the strainer and refrigerate this for 6-8 hours.
5. Take 2 tablespoons of hung curd in a bowl and then add the powdered sugar to it.
6. Add salt according to taste.
7. Add crushed garlic and olive oil.
8. Add crushed pepper according to taste.
9. Mix well.
10. Add oregano and mix well.
11. Transfer it to a cup and serve with nachos.
- 1. You can also use a muslin cloth instead of a kitchen cloth.
- 2. The curd has to be thick and fresh and not sour.
- 3. Refrigeration is done, so that the hung curd does not turn sour. Alternatively, you can hang the cloth on a hook, for the water to drain completely.
- 4. You can also add pepper powder or chopped jalapenos instead of crushing peppercorns.

STEP BY STEP - HOW TO MAKE HUNG CURD DIP
