Serves: 1 bowl

Ingredients
  • Sugar - 200 g

    Raw mango - 1 (200 g)

    Water - 1/4th cup

    Cardamom - 2 tsp

How to Prepare
  • 1. Take a raw mango, peel the skin off.

    2. Grate it finely.

    3. Add sugar in a heated pan.

    4. Immediately, add water.

    5. Stir well and allow the sugar to melt.

    6. Allow the sugar syrup to cook up to a one-string consistency.

    7. Turn off the stove.

    8. Add the grated mango into the pan.

    9. Add cardamom powder.

    10. Mix well & transfer into a bowl or jar.

Instructions
  • 1. You can use jaggery or brown sugar instead of the regular sugar.
  • 2. Some raw mango pieces as well can be added along with the grated mango to give it a different texture.
  • 3. You can add red chilli powder while making the sugar syrup to give it a spicy touch.
