7 Best Tips To Raise An Introverted Child
Here are a few expert tips that can help you raise your shy, introverted child.
Surely, whether we are parents yet or not, most of us would already know that parenting is not an easy job, especially if your child is slightly different from the others. Did you know that there are a few tips that can help you raise an introverted child in a better way?
First of all, we must try to understand what exactly introversion is, in order to raise an introverted child.

Introversion is a personality type of a person, that can be defined as a psychological nature in which, he/she enjoys being in his/her own company, more than that of the others.
Introverts usually find a sense of gratification in dwelling in their own thoughts, while spending quality time with themselves, rather than going out and socializing with a group of people.

Usually introverts tend to be shy, withdrawn, creative and quiet, with very few quality friends.
So, if you have a child who is an introvert, then there are certain tips you must follow, in order to raise them right.
Tip #1
Firstly, as parents, it is important for you to understand that being an introvert or a "shy kid" is completely normal, and there is nothing to worry about.
Tip #2
Parents of an introvert must also understand that introversion is not by choice and it is a part of your child's personality and biology and it is not something that needs to be "fixed".
Tip #3
Avoid forcing your child to "be more outgoing" or ask them to socialise more, as these actions may have a negative impact on their psyche, as they may start to feel like they are not normal.
Tip #4
Before going out on a social outing or having a gathering with lot of people at home, tell your child about it, so that they can mentally prepare themselves. Introverts need some time to gel into social situations.
Tip #5
You can also ask your child to take a break from social gatherings, when they feel like and let them know that it is okay to do so, as too much socialising can burn out an introvert.
Tip #6
When your child tries hard to gel with people in a social situation, show him/her your appreciation, as it is not an easy feat for them!
Tip #7
Educate your child to stand-up for himself/herself, when other kids bully your child about being too shy or quiet.
