10 Healthy And Safe Baby Food Recipes With Carrots
Making baby food at home is one of the easiest ways through which you can avoid the risk of food allergies and adulteration. When you are aware of the ingredients that go into your baby's food, it is easily a load off the mind.
There are plenty of recipes you can make at home for your baby, once they are 6 months old. In addition to that, it is important that your baby can sit upright and hold their head up. Let your baby try one food at a time at first, as this helps you understand if your child has any problems with that food, such as food allergies. And wait for three to five days between each new food. More importantly, before introducing new foods to your baby, have a talk with your paediatrician.
Is Homemade Baby Food Safe? A Guide To Make Baby Food At Home
We have gathered some baby food recipes with carrots, that are equally healthy and safe for your baby.
Are Carrots Safe For Your Baby?
Paediatricians swear by carrots; because of the sweet taste and smooth consistency of pureed carrots, they are typically one of the most well-accepted first baby foods from four to six months of age [1]. Carrots are the best way to introduce solid food items to your baby and can be easily prepared. The amazing nutritional value and low risk of allergies make carrots one of the best suitable food for your little one. You can steam, boil, roast and bake the carrots.

How To Select Carrots For Baby Food?
When buying carrots for your baby, make sure the carrots are firm, have a uniform colour (bright orange), and clean [6]. Do not buy carrots with stems or ones with holes, as they may have pests. If you can source farm-fresh carrots, do that instead of buying from supermarkets - as carrots that are available in the market can contain high levels of nitrates, which can harm the baby [7].
