All About The Orangutan…

This female orangutan was named Pony and she lived in a small village in Borneo, where she was taken away from her home in the forest and kept in a house. The lady owner who had kept her did not have her as a pet but as a medium to earn money by using the orangutan for prostitution.

It Was A Great Way Of Making Money!

Pony was a huge part of the owner's income, as the men of the village paid a good amount to her before they experienced the 'pleasure' with the poor orangutan. It is said that poor Pony was so used to the act that every time when she saw a man near her, she would turn around and present herself and wait for someone to have sex with her.

She Was Being Made To Look More Appealing...

The mean owner who was treating the poor orangutan, in the meanest way, used to regularly shave the fur off from Pony, so that she'd start appearing more 'appealing' to the customers. This led to the poor animal getting several skin infections, being bitten by terrible mosquito bites, etc.

The Villagers Protected It…

The villagers would threaten the police every single time with guns and knives that were covered with poison when they tried taking Pony away. Even the members of the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation went to the village to rescue Pony but failed in their rescue operations.

Pony Was Finally Rescued

After many failed attempts, the animal rights members had to storm into the village with 35 policemen armed with AK-47s. They were accompanied by the Central Kalimantan Conservation and Natural Resources Authority. The red ape was finally rescued. It was such a sensation that a local news channel filmed the entire rescue operation.

It Took 10 Long Years After That…

The rescue operation had taken place in 2003 and after that, the ape took 10 longs years to understand where exactly it belonged, as it was so used to eating food from the care taker's hand and sleeping on the mattress; and living on trees was not something that poor Pony had even thought of.
