Art Photography Exhibition
The Fine Art Photography Exhibition, “Beyond the Shadows" is an endeavor of Navjyoti India Foundation in partnership with artist, Mr. Munish Khanna. Lightening of the lamp was done by the Chief Guest Mr. RMS Liberhan, Director, India Habitat Centre on 1st July 2011. Dr. Kiran Bedi also graced the event with her presence. “I feel honored to be associated with this noble cause. I thank and appreciate Navjyoti India Foundation who"s such initiative give happiness to underserved." said Mr. RMS Liberhan.
The fine art photography exhibition was held to generate resources for providing employability skills to the under-served sections of the society and make them self reliant. All the proceeds go towards bringing a change in their lives.

The fine art photographs displayed have a strong play of light and colours and are beyond the shadows. The subjects range from abstract shots to landscapes, submerged dry leaves to fresh flowers, old rusted keys to the colourful marbles, simple elements shot through a strong interplay of light and shadows. Some of the photographs have been printed on canvas, which almost look like paintings.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Kiran Bedi, General Secretary, Navjyoti India Foundation, said “I will thank Munish who has depicted different hues of life through his lens. His innovative picture will certainly contribute in taking our organization to add few more colours in the life of many children."

Mr. Munish Khanna, a well known Photographer, commented “An artist expresses his thoughts and ideas through any medium, be it painting, sculpture or photography. It"s not just about clicking the picture, a lot more goes into what has been shot and how and when it has been shot." He further added, “Although recognized as an art form abroad, it may still take a little while more for people in India to understand and appreciate photography parallel to painting as an art form but it is picking up very fast and people are appreciating the good work."

The fine art photography exhibition continued from July 1-5, 2011 at Convention Foyer, India Habitat Centre. Second part of the exhibition held at Select CITY WALK from July 7-10, 2011.
