Since then, the temple has acquired the reputation of granting the elite American Visa and making the process smooth flowing.

There is a specific way on how the lord is pleased in the temple. The Visa aspirant is supposed to visit the Chilkur Visa Balaji temple before the Visa interview. Once the devotee visits, he goes through the usual ritual of prayer where he is supposed to do 3 rounds of Pradakshina (walking in circles around the temple). Apart from this, the aspirants need to make a vow that after getting the Visa, they would come back to the temple and take 108 rounds around the temple. This is a way to show gratitude to the Visa God.
