This tribe has another unusual practice where the young girls are let out and are allowed to befriend with partners of their choice. This happens at a two-day 'courtship fair' that is held in parts of Rajasthan and Gujarat. According to sources, they then 'elope' with the partners for 2 days and return to live together with their families. It is not necessary for them to be married to each other.
