Hope For Haiti Success

Madonna, Jay Z, Bono and Rihanna and many other Hollywood celebrities performed at the Hope for Haiti telethon aimed to raise funds for the earthquake victims in the Caribbean state.

Actor George Clooney, who organized the concert said, "At the core of every religion is the belief that we care for one another, we take care of each other especially in times of need."

Talking about Celebrity contribution for Haiti victims, Clooney reports, Madonna contributed 250,000 dollars, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie gave 1million dollars, while supermodel Giselle Bundchen donated 1.5 million dollars.

It was quite a amount brought together for the victims. The tone was very sombre and classy, different from the upbeat nature of telethons we have in the UK. With that turnout of stars it was quite something.
