Spanish Couple Indian Wedding

A Spanish couple tied the knot in the city of Agra, India where the world famous Taj Mahal, the symbol of love stands.

The Indian culture had impressed Maria and Salvia when they had frequented the city for business purposes with regards to their footwear company.

On the day of the wedding the couple were clad in Indian attires and Salvia tied the 'Mangalsutra', around the neck of Maria and applied vermilion on her forehead according to the Indian tradition, which denotes the marital status of a Hindu woman, at the “Mankameshwar Temple" dedicated to Lord Shiva. They exchanged garlands and the bride wore the vermilion on her forehead. The wedding took place amidst the chanting of the sacred Hindu verses.

The couple garlanded each other amidst chanting of holy verses.


“First is probably the kindness and love for this religion makes you feel very welcome and first of all I need to learn so many things but the spirituality of the religion is the main thing I feel attracted about," said Salvia.

The wedding ceremony brought immense happiness to Maria.
"I feel very strong in this... because it gives me love and happiness for life always," said Maria.

The couples were cheered by a lot of devotees who had visited the temple.
