Kirk Douglas Gives Dinner To Homeless On Thanksgiving

Kirk Douglas
Actor Kirk Douglas showed the humane side of him on Thanksgiving by serving dinner to the homeless on the streets of Los Angeles. The 92 year old star was accompanied by his wife, Anne along with hundreds of other volunteers at the Los Angeles Mission.

A day before the official American holiday, they handed out turkey meals to the destitute.

The couple founded the Anne Douglas Center that helps homeless women in getting employment.

"My wife has been trying to help the women that have been forced onto the streets, and she is determined to give them a better life through the Anne Douglas Center where they have programs that improve and rebuild their lives," says Kirk Douglas.

"We gladly come to serve men and women at Thanksgiving time to give them a good meal and strengthen their desire for a brighter future," he added.
