Finding Extraterrestrial Intelligence

By Staff

Brad Niesluchowski, a school employee, was fired after his search for aliens cost the education department a whopping sum of over 1 million dollars.

Niesluchowski, working as Director, Information Technology, Higley Unified School District in Mesa,Arizona, allegedly used the department computers to look for aliens.

He is believed to have downloaded free software for his search on district computers in 2000.

The program, known as SETI(at)home, uses Internet connected computers across the world to examine radio telescope data for finding extraterrestrial intelligence.

The Education District Superintendent Denise Birdwell said the program almost crashed the district's system. He added that it would cost more than one million dollars to mend the problem.
