Sarah Palin's $ 150,000 Shopping Spree
As the elections come to an end, further investigations throw a new light on the shopping expenses of the Republican vice president.

The attacks on Sarah Palin are set to intensify as the full story about the Alaska governor"s 150,000 dollar clothes shopping spree has emerged.

The defeated Republican vice-presidential nominee came under fire last month after it was revealed the Republican Party had spent about 150,000 dollars on designer clothes for her and her family, reports the Australian. But now, Newsweek magazine has reported the shopping was far more extensive than was previously revealed.

A John McCain aide described the spending spree as "Wasilla hillbillies looting Neiman Marcus from coast to coast" and predicted that the truth will come out when the Republican Party's auditors will investigate. The magazine also claimed that Palin used low ranking staffers to buy some of the clothes on their credit cards, and that up to 40,000 dollars was spent on clothes for her husband Todd.

According to the magazine, Palin was told to buy three suits for the Republican convention, and to hire a stylist. Instead, she went on a spending spree at exclusive department stores, including bills of 75,062 dollars at Neiman Marcus and 49,425 dollars at Saks Fifth Avenue.
